If 2x+3y=8 and xy=4 then find the value of 4x²+9y²

If 2x+3y=8 and xy=4 then find the value of 4x²+9y²

 

2x+3y=8

Squaring both side

(2x+3y)2=64

4x2+9y2+2*2x*3y=64    formula used (a+b)2= a2+b2+2ab  

4x2+9y2+12xy=64

4x2+9y2=64-12xy

4x2+9y2=64-12*4   ( put the value of xy)

4x2+9y2=64-48  

4x2+9y2=16 ( answer)
